This Data Retention Policy describes how long MV Connect retains your personal data and when it is deleted. This policy applies to all data collected through the MV Connect platform and is governed by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. Retention Periods by Data Type

2. Why We Retain Payment Records
Payment records are retained for up to 7 years after account deletion to comply with:
- Internal Revenue Service (IRS) record-keeping requirements
- Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) regulations
- Payment card industry (PCI) dispute resolution windows
- Tax audit and reporting obligations
- Legal proceedings and fraud prevention
Payment records do not contain full credit card numbers. They contain transaction IDs, subscription IDs, customer IDs (from Stripe or Base44 Payments), amounts, dates, and the last four digits of the payment method for identification purposes.
3. Deletion Request Audit Records
When you delete your account, we retain a record of the deletion request for 24 months for audit and compliance purposes. This record contains:
- A SHA-256 hash of your email address (not your actual email)
- The deletion request ID and timestamp
- The deletion status (completed, failed, in-progress)
- The list of profiles that were deleted (by ID and username)
- The OneSignal cleanup status
After 24 months, the audit record is permanently deleted. Your actual email address is never stored in the audit record.
4. Third-Party Retention
The following third-party services have their own retention policies that may extend beyond our deletion of your data:
- Stripe: Retains payment data in accordance with their retention policy and legal requirements. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Base44 Payments (Wix Payments): Retains payment data in accordance with their retention policy and legal requirements.
- OneSignal: May retain aggregated, anonymized data after push notification subscriptions are removed. See OneSignal's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: Retains email delivery records for up to 30 days for delivery tracking and abuse prevention. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Minimization
MV Connect follows the principle of data minimization: we only collect data that is necessary for providing the Service, and we only retain it for as long as it is needed. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Your Rights Regarding Retention
You have the right to:
- Request information about what data we hold about you and for how long
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Request that we limit the retention of certain data
- Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
